“Flags Across America”

“Flags Across America” is a fund raising project for Boy Scout Troop 230.  The Boy Scouts of America provide a continuum of development through the many activities and skills learned and practiced by its Scouts.  These activities, wherein boys go hiking and camping, conduct service projects, work the advancement program, serve as junior leaders, and associate with community leaders, combine to make the scouting process complete.  The proceeds from this project will enable our scouts to participate in the full range of these activities.

Your tax deductible contribution to this program will help our troop buy camping equipment, provide scholarships to summer camp and meet other troop expenses. For your $30 donation, members of Troop 230 and their parents will display a 3’ x 5’ American flag in your yard six days each year.

Please join Troop 230 and our charter organization, St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, in supporting this worthwhile cause.  Help us fill our streets with American flags for the love of our country and in dedication to the ideals of scouting.

Yes!  I would like to participate in the Troop 230 “Flags Across America” program for a yearly tax deductible contribution of $30.00.  Troop 230 agrees to place an American Flag at the residence shown below on each specified flag display holiday.  It is my responsibility to advise Troop 230 of any sprinkler, plumbing and electrical service locations. It will also be my responsibility to ensure that the flag sleeve does not rise above ground level where it may damage equipment used to maintain the lawn.
